Does it Sounds Scary-Depression ?

On the occasion of the
World Health Day (7th April 2017) today.

I thought of writing this and share with my readers.

Hope this piece of information will help you or your family, friends.
Is it a big word for you?If not then why you are not taking it seriously

Do you think is it a problem if yes.then it needs to be addressed.

And we often focus on the physical body problems but we never pay any attention to our mental health.this is as imprortant as our physical health.

On the occasion of world health day today (7th Apr 2017 )

I thought of creating some awareness about this soo neglected problem or an issue or a challenge..you can call it by any name.

So why depression and what is depression and why people are not talking about it so casually and normally.

First we have to create awareness as it is also a sickness like any other ..which appears on our physcial body later..and it is as common  like a fever.

Depression is a problem which is also sickness and only the thing is .it shows first on our mental status and then it appears on our physcial body in the form of different problems like skin allergy, cancer etc.

I am not trying to scare you.just want you to be more aware about it as it is normal and you can talk about it with anybody whom you trust or seek medical help if you feel so.

There is no ashame in taking help .as it is as normal as fever or any other physcial ailment.

Please talk it out. and even coaching can help you in this.

What is Depression?

According to Dictionary,
a mental condition characterized by feelings of severe despondency and dejection, typically also with feelings of inadequacy and guilt, often accompanied by lack of energy and disturbance of appetite and sleep.

    Common symptoms of Depression

          ·          Feelings of sadness
      ·          difficulty sleeping
      ·         suicidal thoughts
          ·        weight fluctuations
      ·       changes in appetite
are symptoms of major depressive disorder, the American Psychiatric Association    states.
Depression often causes individuals to lose interest in their normal activities and    struggle with feelings of restlessness, guilt and worthlessness.

Symptoms of depression can include

·       difficulty concentrating
·        trouble remembering details
·        problems making decisions
·        Fatigue
·       feelings of worthlessness or guilt
·        feelings of hopelessness or helplessness
·        pessimistic behavior
·        insomnia or excessive sleeping
·        Irritability
·       loss of interest in activities that once were enjoyable
·        increase or decrease in appetite
·        persistent pain (such as headaches, cramps or digestive issues) that does not improve with treatment
·       and thoughts of suicide or suicidal attempts

according to WebMD.

Clinical depression differs from normal feelings of sadness or grief, especially what is seen after a loss or trauma, since clinical depression has physical effects on the body and does not dissipate after some time. Suicidal attempts are also a heavy sign that the person is suffering from depression.

So you can discuss this with any life coach you know..

For many, depression coaching serves as a useful addition to their existing treatment programme. Coaching can play an important role in recovery, offering encouragement and support to those struggling to engage in day-to-day activities.

Coaching is not designed to be an alternative to talk therapy or other medical treatments; it is designed to be a valuable addition to your treatment plan to help manage symptoms.

If you haven't been diagnosed with depression, but recognise that you experience some of the symptoms, you may be prone to developing the condition. In these cases, coaching may help you to resist the pull into deeper depression, helping you to move towards happiness.

Coaching can help you to be more energize and free from negative thoughts and thinking.

It will help you to manage your day to day activities with happiness and being in more calm and peaceful state.

Note:

Some parts of my Blog has taken from Google and the pictures to make the awareness about Depression and I mention the references in between also.
